Sticking together

close up phot of a dead hibiscus flower hanging onto another dying flower still on the tree

Abject misery—
dead flowers cling together,
loving company.

Coming soon

Grows an inch a day,
tiny delicious bundle,
on expectant tree.

Unrecognised

Close up photo of a white mulberry on a person’s palm, with a mulberry tree in the background.

Humble mulberry,
a silkworm delicacy—
its glory unseen.

Morning

close up photo of a sun flower with a few petals starting to open

Unravelling limbs,
waving to the morning cloud—
sunflower awakes.

Strewn

Reflecting the mind—
haphazardly in my yard,
dead-flower army.
