Coming soon

close up photo of a small feijoa on a tree — Fruiting feijoa tree

Grows an inch a day,
tiny delicious bundle,
on expectant tree.

Unrecognised

Close up photo of a white mulberry on a person’s palm, with a mulberry tree in the background.

Humble mulberry,
a silkworm delicacy—
its glory unseen.

Morning

close up photo of a sun flower with a few petals starting to open

Unravelling limbs,
waving to the morning cloud—
sunflower awakes.

Strewn

photo of freshly-fallen lacebak flowers on the ground, along with dried leaves — Flowers and leaves of a lacebark tree

Reflecting the mind—
haphazardly in my yard,
dead-flower army.

Time’s up

close up photo of a drooping sunflower, alomost a week old

Nearly giving up,
droopy head eyeing the ground,
heat-stroked sunflower.
