An afternoon of colouring

sunset colours as seen from behind the trees

Painter’s palette slips
pours emotions on canvas
makes sunset of shades

Saying goodbye to winter

closeup photo of a hole on the bark of a tree

Guttural visage
showing signs of wear and tear
defrosting souls spring

Eventually

photo of a tiny branch with three small buds growing through a wooden fence

Unrestrainable
kids kick barriers, break free,
spring naturally

Almost there

pink blossom buds with a blurry yellow wattle tree in the background

Bravely the bulbous
on the brink of emergence
seeking spring sun shine

Desert time

photo of dark clouds over a sandy coast

Vaguely-cloaked, darkness,
chases sandy mirages
carries rain away.
