Waiting for weekends

photo of a golden retreiver lying on the floor, looking sideways

Sprawled out on the floor,
gazing at the sky, in love,
Thursday afternoons.

Awakening

Photo of the sun rising above the clouds, as seen through the window of an airplane.

I stand as witness:
sun rises before sunrise,
airplane awareness.

Bliss

A group of tall gum trees in the morning. The sun’s first rays shine on the top half of the trees.

Early morning gums,
sunshine’s kiss on their foreheads,
cherry on ice cream.

Rising high

photo of three tall buildings, one still under construction, in Perth city

Human obsessions:
infiltrating glass ceilings
and ozone layers.

Dying

close up photo of a freshly-fallen lacebark flower on a bed of dried, old leaves

Angelic flower
lays on a bed of autumn
disintegrating.
