Springing out from earth,
spiky green and spotty brown;
reclaims space, nature.

Good night
Bids bitter farewell,
falls as a pall on lightness,
darkness, as sunset.
Awe
Lean on lake’s lamp post,
having raced for nature’s glow,
breathless from beauty.
Mind’s eye
Sleepless at midnight,
awakening in the dark;
eye-opening sight.
Illuminated
Halo in the sky,
picture of enlightenment;
zen is in nature.
