Eyeing

photo of gumtree tops as seen from below, with two big patches where the cloudless blue sky is visible

Peering through gum leaves,
watching wonders of below—
brightly blue-eyed sky.

In plain sight

Unassumingly
a giant cactus blossoms—
amidst rose bushes.

Race

photo of a plane in the sky with a tail heading out of the top right of the frame, with a large tree's leaves just visible on the top right of the frame, the sunset mildly glinting throug the leaves

Chasing endlessly
towards fading horizons—
paper plane humans.

Escape

Sitting amidst leaves,
camouflaged comfortably,
fruit avoids the birds.

Flowering

Big plume of purple,
mullet of the plant kingdom—
artichoke in bloom.
