Home ground

a leafless tree with its brances spread out

Every branch a home—
corellas, galas, magpies:
a family tree.

Elite retreat

Photo of an artificial lake with water plants with a view of fern trees and holiday cottages in the distance. As seen from a golf course within the resort. Grindelwald Village, Tasmania — A holiday resort in Grindelwald Village, Tasmania

Idyllic photos,
holiday in the resort;
far from natural.

Seeking

Photo of a full moon as seen over some fern trees at night.

Looks straight through my soul,
the iris of an eagle’s eye;
questioning full moon.

Disturbance

Shattered by a stone,
perfect crystal clear waters;
tumor in love’s brain.

Veteran

A fallen soldier,
looking up to the others,
hoping, autumn leaf.
