Survivors

photo of a multilevel car park with hanging plants on every floor — Multi-level car park at Zoho Corporation, Chennai, India

Bleeding from buildings,
hanging plants cling on to life—
find new ways to thrive.

High life

photo of the skytrain at the Singapore airport terminal

Sleeping on the floor,
floating around in skytrains—
my airport lifestyle.

Flight

Photo of an aircraft of the Royal Dutch Airlines, as seen from a window at the airport

Sit back and relax
pilot hurtles through the air
a high-pressure job

Traveller

Screenshot of the flight route map on an international flight from Melbourne to Singapore.

Halfway round the world
spotting clouds from in the air—
minuscule human.

Reflections

photo of a can of pale ale from the time of the First World War, with the words, "God 'elp all of us" inscribed in it

Gulping down a beer,
mundane summer afternoon—
god help our soldiers.
