Joy

Photo of the sun filtering through the branches of a pepper tree, as seen from below.

Raining down blessings,
brightening up pepper trees—
summertime sunshine.

Paint

Drops of purple paint;
jacarandas in the rain—
on a bleak canvas.

Photogenic

Typical subject:
shies away from camera—
portrait of a rose.

Trees of life

Photo of the Western Australia landscape as seen from the window of a plane. Green forests appear as patches in the desert.

Tiny blobs of life
coloured green, outside the lines,
trees keep us nourished.

Build

Photo of multiple high-storey buildings as seen from the top floor of another high-storey building.

We make those buildings
constellation defying,
masking our night skies.
