Jam

photo of a line of traffic cones by the road side in Auckland city

Casting nasty spells
witches hats on the side street
holding up traffic

Bright

Photo of the sunset’s glow as seen from the window of the plane, with the light in halo around the plane’s engine.

The horizon’s bright:
my flight is a metaphor;
adventurer’s life.

Corporate ladder

Photo of a sky jumper halfway down on a jump from the top of the Sky Tower in Auckland, as seen from inside the building with the Auckland skyline in the background.

We think we are brave
craving to climb to the top—
too scared to jump down.

Winds

Photo of the sun’s outline visible from behind storm clouds.

Life’s hazy at times;
sunshine behind stormy clouds—
the wind will blow on.

Teamwork

Photo of a tall tree, surrounded by a forest of other trees.

One in a hundred;
tree contributes to the team,
exhales oxygen.
