The welcome parade:
waking from hibernation,
roses bloom for spring.

Child looks at the sun
traces the rays on her canvas;
yellow daisy blooms.

Hours by the sea shore;
waves crash on shimmering rocks:
silence in the mind.

Cloudless deep blue skies;
quintessential down under:
parched kangaroo grass.

A three-month labour;
Mother Nature persevered,
to give birth to spring.
