Hold
Wrapped up quite tightly,
flower bud clings to future—
as a baby’s palm.
Flowering
Like a pop up stall,
objects of dainty colours—
my sidewalk in spring.
Fussy
High maintenance greens;
two months to grow three inches—
mushrooms take a day.
Supportive
Be bright as flowers:
perennial wall rockets
support each other.
