Photo of the Adelaide city as seen from the window seat of a plane soon after take-off.

Tiny blocks of land,
Lego houses by the coast—
overhead plane spies.

High command

Photo of the Adelaide coastline and jetty as seen from a plane window, during take off.

Far away from land
where all of life seems tiny
God complex reins high

Problem solving

photo of a person's hand on a laptop, with a black catch sleeping on the keyboard, its paw on the laptop screen

Cat and its human
solve all of life’s conundrums
just scratching at screens

Walker

photo of a golden retriever on a leash, walking along a trail, as seen by the photographer walking behind the dog

I follow along,
ever faithful companion
to my retriever.

Preoccupied

photo of a security worker looking at his phone, while ahead of him, a Christmas light show plays on a large building

We consider life
gazing deep into our phones
while Santa dances
