Flying colours

Photo of the sunset over the wing of a plane, as seen from the window seat.

Life of adventure:
chasing work and promotions;
sunsetting on air.

Sleep

Photo of the sunset as seen though the window seat of an airplane.

Fare thee well, my sun,
hush now, rest your weary head,
the morning will wait.

Goodbye

photo of the pinkish orange sunset as seen through the slats of a window blinds

The sky is aglow,
awash emotionally
as the sun fares well.

Heatwave

photo of the sun setting behind suburban houses on a hot summer night

Brewing up a spell,
cauldron of dizzying heat—
summer sun cackles.

Break

photo of the sunset as seen through the slats of window blinds

Between window slats,
seeing things I’ve been blind to—
never leaving home.
