Cake

Photo of lush green mountains in New Zealand

Multi-layer cake;
land of volcanic mountains,
folds in on itself.

Shake

Close up photo of a map of New Zealand’s South Island in the foreground and the North Island in the background.

Shaking fat fingers,
humans seek to achieve big—
earth shakes; we’re done for.

Fit

photo of New Zealand's landscape as seen from the window of a plane

Like a Lego world
slotting into each other
earth’s tectonic plates.

Focus

Photo of the top of Skycity in Auckland, as seen while walking down a dirt track on a volcanic hill.

Walking the dirt track
focused on glitz and glamour—
small snake slithers past.

Propel

Photo of a small plane’s propellers, as seen through the window of the plane.

All the world’s a plane
we’re strapped in a window seat
propelling through life.
