Seasonal

A lot of things are in season now, with my favourite being great food and greenery. And when they come together as perfect halves, nothing stops me from grabbing my camera.

Just for Yolks

The one thing I learnt living in a hostel that called it a “paying guest” system, is how much I miss cooking. Even it were just poaching an egg, I craved to do it myself, in my way.

Cooking not only ensures the flavours you want, but also brings out the vibrance of your skills. Plus, of course, egg yolks are vibrant when poached.

Oh, that oozing yolk makes my head spin!

The Bright Side

“Look at the bright side…”

“Yes, at least you got the money.”

“…and the house.”

“But-”

“No buts. You should to be thankful.”

But she felt far from it. She was hurt, torn, and betrayed.

How could he leave her — how could he be optimistic about something so uncertain? What had he seen through that window that made him pack up and drive away?

Victorious Closure

Shakespeare is my love. And though I’ve read and enjoyed his sonnets, I had never managed to read his full plays. I read the abridged editions, yes, but the original was always beyond my ability.

An then, it changed. With some encouragement, I tried reading Hamlet — the full play. I loved every bit of it. By the time I finished reading it, I grew hungry for more.

It felt great to accomplish such a big feat and I will cherish the thrill forever. Here’s my victory: reading a complete Shakespeare play.

National Blog Posting Month – Day 15.

I’ve taken a break today from my schedule of publishing one chapter a day from my NaNoWriMo novel from two years ago. I’ll publish chapter 14 tomorrow.

One step at a time

I’m prone to trip. Even when there’s nothing to trip on. That’s how I am, and that’s why I take every step with care. And a little extra care on stairs.
