Shelter

She stands sturdy as a wall

rising high above staying tall

Her arms raised to the heavens

her cozy leaves comforting ravens

Looking upward she incessantly prays

while beasts below tear their prey

For their mothers; birds are crying

while the serpents, they are prying

decades many, she had unwaveringly stood

sheltering mankind that did her no good.
