Endurance

Close up photo of a sunflower clops on, its petals starting to open.

Attempting to bloom,
spring putting on a brave face,
for winter’s last week.

Pop

close up photo of the flower buds of an apricot tree — Soon-to-be flowers of an apricot tree

Unpopped corn kernel;
rising anticipation—
early spring blossoms.

Shades

Close up phot of a couple of daisies in the bush.

Perfect gradients,
masterclass in designing
stop—watch the flowers.

Stretch

close up photo of a flower bud, partly open

Stretching its tired limbs,
waking up to face the world,
spring emerges, thawed.

Wattle

Photo of a wall of wattle flowers.

Vibrant yellow wall,
puts smiles on many faces;
sneezes on others.
