Showoff

With renewed vigour,
flaunts its luscious head of hair—
gumtree after storm.

Old

Destroying itself,
feeds the next generation—
a week-old flower.

Out

Photo of a double rainbow with dark clouds in the background

Braving through the storm,
painting the skies in rainbow,
the sun’s coming out.

Calm

photo of the sunset behind storm clouds, emiting a deep orange colour, with a rose bush in the foreground

Sunset before storm—
a ripple of burnt orange
magic in the air.

Wave

Hat tip for the sun,
welcoming wave to the moon—
roses in the breeze.
