Sold out performance,
standing ovation from trees,
the sun takes a bow.

Birth

Slicing through packed earth,
seeds crack open to first leaves—
children of the sun.

Splatter of colours,
cacophony on canvas—
cloudy summer’s day.

Unwarranted life,
blemish in a perfect world,
weeds are beautiful.

Shelling left and right,
corroded metallic smoke—
my flowers wither.
