From dirt they arise,
slicing years of hardened earth—
weeds in my garden.

Time to go
As the sun goes down
a deadhead rose arises—
end of an era
Clean up
Trim nails and calf hairs,
nip those rouge weeds in the bud—
garden maintenance.
Small problem
We’re just tiny specks,
a world of ocean around—
crow shit in windscreen.
Moonshine
Polar opposite—
counterbalancing solar,
lights up the night sky.
