Tall

photo of the shadow of a person standing on top of mountain during late morning

Conquering the world
tiny human stands up tall
until the sun’s high

Stretch marks

photo of a weak sun on an overcast day with wispy clouds

Mother sky gives birth
the sun pops out in glory
stretch marks all around

Clouds

Photo of Auckland city, as seen from the top of a small mountain, on an overcast day

Heavily, rain clouds
creeping over the city
cast summer away

Summer clouds

photo of a cloud in the shape of an eagle-like bird flying down towards the ground

Soaring down to earth
chasing elusive raindrops
wispy summer clouds

Finally

Close up photo of chilli seeds sprouting from the soil, in a compostable takeaway container.

Breaking glass ceilings
lifting their heads up in pride
chilli seeds emerge
